Responsibilities:
Objective of Account Management
To provide the highest possible level of customer service to all our clients via a tier system that segregates the premium clients from the growing ones. By managing and executing all operational tasks, we will pursue the retention, growth, renewal and satisfaction as well as new business opportunities for these clients within the Yahoo! platforms of advertising.
Day to Day Responsibilities – Account Manager
* Facilitate teamwork on the accounts, and develop a good working relationship with the sales manager, as well as business units involved
* Ensure all required contractual obligations and deliverables are met
* Responsible for all procedures related to booking the insertion order, scheduling creative and executing all revisions.
* Ensure that campaigns are delivering properly to minimize future issues (zero deliveries, unscheduled lines, exclusive conflicts, priority issues, etc.)
* Act as the main Client Services Contact on all issues including order maintenance, specs, scheduling and troubleshooting.
* Provide campaign servicing reports to clients in accordance with their tier leveling.
* Regular Communication with AM Manager & Sales Manager to stay informed of all issues.
* Oversee and facilitate activities that affect the Insertion Order (e.g. revisions, cancellations, terminations, inventory & revenue reallocation, bonuses, amendments, etc.). It is AM’s responsibility to give as much detail as possible, so that other team members on the account can execute and do their jobs. At the end of the day, it’s AM’s job to make sure the changes get done.
* Obtain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of your client’s business and industry.
* Proactively inform client of latest opportunities within Yahoo!
* Foster great working relationship with clients and ensure Yahoo! comes across as a company that is easy and great to work with.
* Meet clients quarterly to ensure for updates, internet training, new products and fostering Relationship
Success Metrics
* Ensure that our premiere clients receive the highest level of operational customer service possible
* Provide a value added account management service to a handful of our Top 200 advertisers which are deemed under their control.
* Projects completed within appropriate timeframes.
Requirements:
Minimum Experience
* The ideal account manager comes with 2-3 years account management experience either as part of an advertising agency or that of a media publisher. However the lack of such experience is not a criteria for elimination and those who can demonstrate in-depth analytical and interpersonal skills and creative thinking will be considered.
* Experience/achievements with “online sales” , “media sales” or “media advertising” much preferred.
* Competencies
* Candidate must have good analytical skills as well as communication skills (oral and written presentation skills). The ability to learn and operate internal computer programs and systems (non-technical) will be required.
* Candidate must be self-motivated but able to work with a team. Candidate must be able to apply creative thinking and good problem solving skills.
* Candidate must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn, adapt and operate with a dynamic and fast moving work environment.
* Candidate must be client centric in their approach to their business but capable of communicating and meeting Yahoo!’s business requirements.
* Candidate should be able to perform under a high-stress deadline driven environment and exude a strong sense of urgency.
* Fluent in written and spoken English language is a must.
