1. Secretary to Chairman and CEO
Reports to : Chairman and CEO
Main Tasks : Organize and manage all tasks, activities, daily schedule of Chairman and CEO, develop good relationship with internal and external staffs, BOS Sisters and Donors of BOSF.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Providing administrative services to Chairman and CEO;
2. Scheduling internal and external meetings and appointments, including venue arrangements;
3. Planning, developing and implementing filing system for Chairman and CEO so as to ensure simple access to required documents;
4. Coordinating and arranging Chairman and CEO’s visitors and personal guests;
5. Taking minutes in any meetings required;
6. Screening all incoming letters, papers and documents to device urgency, function, and needs;
7. Liaison with Human Resources particularly in relation with departmental personnel and recruitment requirements;
8. Taking care of travel arrangement for Chairman and CEO, both domestic and overseas trips; providing itinerary for Chairman and CEO business travel for further distribution to the related;
REQUIREMENT
1. Advanced in writing and verbal English Communication skills is a must;
2. Graduated with bachelor degree in any major from reputable university, preference for academy of secretary from reputable academy;
3. Has minimal 5 (five) years of experience as Executive Secretary, sufficient exposures in maintaining direct reporting to expatriates would be a plus;

2. HR Coordinator
Reports to : Head of General Affair and Human Resources Bureau
Main Tasks : Provide Head of General Affair and Human Resources Bureau’s needs
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage and analyze recruitment programs and the hiring process to ensure that HR service provided meets the needs of Foundation’s business.
2. Ensure compensation and benefits are in line with Foundation policies and updated Government Regulations.
3. Control Payroll Calculation, compulsory Insurances and other HR reports as required by authorities.
4. Coordinate with HR in Project and Program in Kalimantan to conduct annual employee performance appraisal.
5. Follow procedures related to Expatriates working of Foundation: visa, passport, work permits, medical expenses.
6. Maintain discipline as well as create motivation for all employees.
7. Supervise HR team, solve employee conflicts and improve HR administration; develop strong relationships with Project and Program and effective communication between Foundation & employees.
8. Maintain, update and expand the Foundation policies as well as motivate all employees to obey the policies.
REQUIREMENT
1. Bachelor degree in psychology/law/management.
2. At least 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience and proficient in HR matter.

3. IT Staff
Main Tasks: Manage and maintain all IT needs and provide good internet as well as local network connection.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Providing LAN / WAN and internet and maintain good internet connection.
2. Manage and organize the LAN / WAN and internet network connection.
3. Implementing antivirus periodically to server, PCs and Laptops.
4. Install and maintain software and hardware to server, PCs and Laptops that used in the office.
5. Budgeting the annual need for IT maintain and services.
6. Suggest IT procedures to develop good connection in data base, internal network, internet and other computer needs.
7. Creating internal data base.
REQUIREMENT
1. Bachelor degree in Computer/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field of study.

4. Program and Development Staff
Main Tasks : Provide technical level of support to the Program Development Special Officer in development of activities and program of BOS; data compilation, management and processing; development of structure or special report for various need in BOS
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct daily data management of BOS activity of data compilation, database and data archive;
2. Support the development of Information management system;
3. Support data processing for spatial and non spatial data;
4. Direct support for in the scope of program development and quality control of BOS performance;
5. Direct support in information gathering and verification from various sources for the need of BOS
6. Support the Board of Directors (BoD) of BOS by providing a reliable data information for the need of BOS policy making;
7. In conjunction with the BOS managers in the Kalimantan, provide non direct technical level of support for the data management,program development and Monitoring and Evaluation;
8. Maintain an ethical and responsible information dissemination to be conducted in all level of BOS activities, in particular for the data usage and distribution;

5. Public Relation Officer
Reports to : Board of Directors of Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF)
Main Tasks : Develop and communicate the policy and activity of BOSF toward various level of audience in both written and verbal; maintain good communication between BOSF with it related parties; develop and manage and ensure the effectiveness of means and media of communication of BOS.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and manage an effective communication and campaign strategy of BOS objective;
2. Develop and manage the information dissemination of BOS policy and activity to its targeted audiences
3. Support the Board of Directors (BoD) of BOS in maintaining a good communication and relation (liaise) to its targeted parties;
4. In conjunction with the BOS Program Development Special Officer, support the communication and information dissemination with it related and or targeted audience;
5. In conjunction with the Communication Team of BOS, support the development and maintenance of information dissemination;
6. In conjunction with the BOS managers in the Kalimantan, provide technical level of support for the communication coordination and strategy, also provide support as general link of communication;

6. Satwa Manager
Main Task: Manage BOSF’s Samboja Satwa Programmes, i.e. all orangutan and sunbear related activities in East Kalimantan, liaise with international and national donors to the Samboja programmes, and with stake holders on the regional and national levels, full budget responsiblity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Streamline all programme resources to towards orangutan welfare and conservation
2. Plan, oversee and control all project expenditures
3. Manage the Samboja Satwa team through directing, consulting and cooperating with the programme coordinators and supervisors as well as the HR department
4. Manage the programme by master minding long-term scenarios, project planning and budgeting
5. Quality management of the programme by consulting with internal and external experts, regular staff appraisals, and setting up and applying performance indicators
6. Manage the programme assets and human resources in a sustainable and conscientious manner
7. Liaise with donors as to fulfil contracts and MoUs and proactively share information on programme needs and achievements
8. Cooperate with the BOS GED and Fundraising units
9. Balance and reconcile interests of multiple donors according to existing contracts and by providing recommendations for contract negotiations.
10. Report to BOSF CEO as required
11. Write English reports on financial and project activities for donors, as required

Requirements

7. Orangutan Care Coordinator
Main Task: To provide top level care for all orangutans in the programme by setting the standards for daily routine operations, husbandry, and rehabilitation, and to manage the Samboja orangutan population by directing the supervisors for unreleasable and releasable orangutan care, and by collaboration with the Coordinators of Veterinary Medicine and Technical Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Together with Scientific Advisory Board design standards for the rehabilitation process for rescued orangutans
2. Coordinate the implementation of rehabilitation standards in Samboja
3. Together with Scientific Advisory Board, experts and Forestry Department design release and post-release monitoring of rehabilitated and translocation orangutans.
4. Prepare and organize the implementation of orangutan release and post-release monitoring
5. Support the supervisors of releasable and unreleasable orangutan care in optimising routine operations, developing/up-dating SOPs for basic husbandry, sanitation, and enrichment
6. Develop, together with the Coordinator for Veterinary Medicine, a population management plan incl. social groupings, birth control, and construction of additional modern orangutan holding facilities suited for the different kinds of orangutans in the programme.
7. Design basic data collection and analyses to monitor the success of enrichment and rehabilitation measures on an individual basis
8. Support supervisors of releasable and unreleasable orangutan care in training animal care takers
9. Provide the organisational preconditions to enable collection of scientific research data by external scientists/students that have an MoU for scientific research cooperation with the Samboja Satwa programme.
10. communicate individual orangutan stories to donors’ Marketing and Fundraising departments

Main Task: Implement standards for daily routine operations, husbandry, and orangutan training, including supervision of basic behavioural recording by the care takers to provide top level care, enrichment and rehabilitation for releasable orangutans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ability to train, mentor and discipline care takers
2. Make animal caretaker time schedules incl. rotation and vacation planning
3. Identify all orangutans individually by sight alone
4. Suggest and discuss seating plans and social grouping for orangutans with the Orangutan Care Coordinator
5. In cooperation with Orangutan Care Coordinator, develop/revise SOPs, implement SOPs
6. Coordinate and supervise all sanitation, orangutan handling, grouping, feeding, enrichment, and training by staff inside the releasable orangutan department, and across departments with Veterinary and Technical Service staff.
7. Inform Veterinary department daily on perceived health of every individual orangutan.
8. Understand orangutan behaviour, supervise standard data collection and individual orangutan training by caretakers, evaluate observations and devise recommendations to the Orangutan Care Coordinator for orangutan management on that basis
9. In cooperation with Orangutan Care Coordinator, develop standard procedures for orangutan rehabilitation, and reintroduction, implement these.
10. Produce reports and summaries of activities as required by the Orangutan Care Coordinator
11. Assist in budget planning, esp. with respect to enrichment and nutrition
12. Assist in planning and construction of holding facilities

9.Assistant Coordinator for Unreleasable Orangutan Care

10. Technical Services Coordinator
Main Task: To provide technical support for all animal operations, by supervising the sub-departments of Security, Transportation, Purchase, Maintenance and Construction of animal holding facilities, in close collaboration with the Coordinators of Animal Care and Veterinary Medicine.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide supervision and leadership to all sub-departments (security, transportation, purchase, maintenance and construction of animal holding facilities)
2. Professional maintenance and monitoring of assets such as animal holding facilities, incl. supporting infrastructure (e.g. water, electricity and waste management), tools and equipment as well as project cars,
3. Management of the car pool and drivers according to priorities set by the Satwa Manager.
4. Supervise purchase of animal food, enrichment items, and materials needed for construction and maintenance of animal holding facilities, infrastructure and transportation, in cooperation with the Coordinators of Animal Care and Veterinary Medicine
5. Through the Supervisor of Security, coordinate and prioritise activities necessary to keep the premises safe, incl. cooperation with the Samboja Lestari plant programme and the local community in designing fire brigade activities and fire surveillance.
6. Efficient use of energy and water including supervision/coordination in the short-term as well as designing a long-term plan for sustainable use of energy and water
7. From 2010 on: construction of additional animal holding facilities (enclosures and cages) will commence. The design of the facilities is made by the Animal Care and Veterinary departments, and external consultants. While contractors will aid with the execution of the design the coordination and supervision of both contractors and BOS staff resides with the Technical Services Coordinator.

11. Veterinary Care Coordinator
Reports to : Samboja Satwa Manager
Main Tasks : To provide top level veterinary care for all orangutans and sunbears in the programme; design and implement a preventive health programme; collaboration with the Coordinators of Veterinary Medicine and Technical Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide veterinary care for orangutans and sunbears in Samboja and the release areas
2. Coordinate the implementation of veterinary care in Samboja
3. Join Orangutan Care Coordinator in designing a population management plan by contributing information on physical health and infection status of the orangutans
4. Coordinate the activities, and level of knowledge, skills and information with the other veterinarians, and other staff in the vet department (paramedic, x-ray operator, etc)
5. Design/revise record keeping and vet data analyses to monitor the health status of every individual and disease control measures
6. Monitor and implement sanitation procedures in animal care (cleaning, waste removal, disinfection, human hygiene, and clinic)
7. Design and implement a control programme for unwanted animals, including health checks on resident wildlife
8. Monitor and advise on employee health
9. Collect daily information on animal health, individual by individual, by visiting the animals and by debriefing the staff of the vet department.
10. Take a pro-active stance on health care by designing a debriefing procedure for the vet department staff and the caretakers to gather all observations relevant to animal health, and devise a follow-up system to respond swiftly to animal needs, and by;
11. Training the care takers to attend to the relevant symptoms of health and disease
12. Review, adapt and implement the veterinary SOPs of Samboja and Nyaru Menteng
13. Review nutrition and feeding protocols on a medical basis, coordinate with Orangutan Care concerning feeding techniques
14. Communicate needs of orangutans and care staff to Satwa manager, including needed medical equipment
